Melanie is the founder of Legacy Wealth Management Inc., a fully integrated financial planning and investment boutique, based in Calgary, Alberta. Our focus is in Total Wealthcare (TM), a process committed to client education and financial success. “Over the past 23 years Melanie has developed a concierge financial planning service that provides clarity of financial goals, family philosophies, business needs, charitable pursuits and sound investment strategies. Wealth management, retirement lifestyle and estate planning strategies are key focus areas with special emphasis placed upon customized solutions.” Melanie began building her financial planning practice in 1993 after having served in various senior positions with a large banking firm and later a trust company based in Calgary, AB. She obtained her Registered Financial Planner (R.F.P.) designation in 2002 followed by the Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS). Melanie has authored various financial planning articles, contributing to content in Advisor.ca as well as Investment Executive. She consistently contributes to Legacy Quest™, a publication written for the benefit of her clients. Currently, acting as Chair of the Board for the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners, Melanie has previously served on the board for both the Canadian Association of Financial Planners and the Juvenile Diabetes Association in Calgary. She has also actively contributed to various advisory boards and think tanks.
Melanie is frequently called upon to speak to financial planning as it relates to divorce agreements. She particularly enjoys working with mediators, lawyers and clients to assist in securing a financial separation solution focused upon individualized strategies and outcomes. Melanie enjoys spending time with family and friends and includes hiking, horseback riding, fishing, cooking, gardening, reading, music, golf and travel as top of the list pursuits. She is never far away from the great outdoors.

As a Wealth Advisor, Kevin’s focus is Total Wealthcare™, a process committed to education and financial success. His approach is to explore, educate, and customize these services to each individual’s financial goals, whether it pertains to personal, family, business, or charitable pursuits.
This concierge-approach makes wealth management or retirement and estate planning uniquely relevant to each client.
Kevin began his career in the Financial Industry in 1991 as a commodities and securities broker and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise. From 1996 through 2013, Kevin was responsible in varying roles for building and managing sales teams across Canada, having the opportunity to also work closely with the Capital Markets of various investment houses to build structured products.
This gave Kevin a deeper understanding of how investment options best fit with the retail investor, a major benefit to clients today. Since 2013, Kevin has enjoyed bringing design, structure and pricing together for delivery within client portfolios, all according to their unique investment goals and risk tolerance.

At IPC, we built IPC Cares to bring together the various efforts we make towards enhancing the communities within which we operate. By adopting causes that are close to our hearts, we keep ourselves committed and accountable.
Last year alone, as a company, we supported the aid efforts on the Fort McMurray fires, palliative care through The Healing Cycle Foundation and women and children through The Salvation Army.
Perhaps the most significant effort we undertake, and one that we believe is representative of the kind of work that inspires and keeps us committed to our CSR efforts, is the community development project in Honduras with The Carpenteros & Friends. Last year’s project involved a group of IPC staff and Advisors volunteering their time and energy on the ground. Very little is as inspiring and rewarding as living the lives of the people you’re helping, and every one of the people who took the journey came back a changed person, even more determined to stay committed to making a difference in the world!
We also made countless small but significant contributions of our time and resources within our communities through many grassroots charities we believe in, and the ripple effect of their efforts are always rewarding.
